animal farm

1.Old Major says that man is the only creature that consumes without producing. Do you agree? If yes/no, is it fair that man rules all other animals even though he does the least work?

I personally think that it is not fair that it is not fair for men to rule all the animals as animals produce most of men`s needs. After the animals get old and cannot produce anything for men, men will kill the animals for their meat as he thinks that the animals will be no use for humans anymore. Thus he kills all the animals.

Most animals such as pigs, goats and cows  produces milk, which humans drink for everyday life. Horses are used to travel around to places with long distances. Dogs and cats are used for humans entertainment purposes. Chicken and roosters usually are needed for humans to eat and since chickens lays eggs, humans will often use the egg as an ingredient in what they cook. Birds will help eat all the insects in the farm. Boars will protect the farm from outsiders. Humans does not produce anything but still their the king of all animals.

2.Are all animals really equal?

I personally think that all animals are not equal as all animals have different bodies and have different points of strength in areas. Snowball, Squealer and the napoleon and  are smarter than all the animals that live in the farm which makes them the leader of the farm. The cows, goats and the pigs produce milk which the other animals in the farm does not so they are unique. The birds are special because they can fly unlike all the other animals on the farm which gives them the ability to reach some places where even animals that walk on ground cannot even reach. Horses are the fastest animals in the farm so they can run away from predators quickly which most animals cannot do. Old major takes one of the most important role in the farm which is becoming a leader of the animals that live in the farm. Other animals ,other than the pigs, does not have the values or intelligence to become a leader.

3.What are the similarities between the society in Manor Farm and the society you see in the world today?
-What are the characteristics of the Manor Farm society?
-How are the two similar?
-What are your personal thoughts and feelings about these similarities?

The characteristics of Manor Farm society is, that they are not controlled by humans but they are controlled by the animals that work there.  Another characteristic of the Manor Farm society is that they will never follow the way of the humans and the will only follow the way of the animals. The similarities of the human society and the Manor Farm society is both the animals and the humans have jobs. The animals can do the same work as the humans can do. Another two similarities is that the Manor Farm society and the human society both has leaders that lead them and have rules that both the animals and the humans have to abide and follow to. My personal thoughts and feelings about these similarities are that these similarities seems and sounds wrong to me. My thoughts are that these similarities are wrong and that the human society and the Manor Farm society have no similarities. My feelings about this similarities are unsure and uncertain.

4.What are the  qualities of Boxer's character that you like? Elaborate  and support your responses with evidence from the novel. What are the qualities of Boxer's character  that you do not like? Elaborate and support and your responses with evidence from the novel.

The qualities of Boxer's character that i like is his incredible strength, dedication, and his loyalty plays a key role in the early prosperity of Animal Farm and the later completion of the windmill. Although he is quick to help but he is rather slow-witted, Boxer shows much devotion to Animal Farm’s ideals but little ability to think about them independently. He naïvely trusts the pigs to make all his decisions for him. His two mottoes are “I will work harder” and “Napoleon is always right.” All these qualities are the qualities i like about Boxer. Although he is physically strong he is not intelligent. That makes it too easy for the pigs to manipulate Boxer along with all the other less intelligent creatures in the farm. also as as far as Boxer's concerned, Animalism  is always right, so if there are any problems, then it is must be due to sabotage.
